Elmwood Stock Farm is waking up after a long and deep winter’s sleep. It’s a magical time of year to be out at the farm, and we welcome you to share in the splendor of spring. The Behind the Scenes Farm Tours are designed to educate adults and children alike about how food gets from the farm to your plate. This two-hour tour will touch on many of the regenerative-agriculture techniques employed at Elmwood Stock Farm, including greenhouse production systems, pastured poultry and pigs, grass-fed cattle and sheep, vegetable growing, soil building, ecologically sustainable agriculture, and beneficial insects, to name a few. Together, we will traipse through the fields, gaze up into sprawling, old oak trees, inspect the soil, and discover the many sights and sounds (and smells!) of Mother Nature at work.About This Farm Tour<ul><li>This tour will be held rain or shine, except in the event of severe weather.</li><li>Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the event start time so that the tour may begin at 9:00 am.</li><li>Directions will be emailed to everyone who registers so that you can find the correct farm entrance and the starting point for this event.</li><li>To gain the full experience, wear comfortable shoes that you don&#x27;t mind getting dirty, pants that allow you to kneel to examine the soil, and protection from the sun (or rain). </li><li>This is a working farm, so electric fences are on, children need to be supervised by the adults who brought them, and pets are not allowed.</li><li>Bring your cooler and your grocery list, or <a href="https://elmwoodstockfarm.com/shop/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">place an online order with us</a> ahead of time, as the on-farm store will be open at the end of the tour.</li><li>Masking and social distancing are required.</li><li>Elmwood Stock Farm CSA members and children under the age of 12 may receive complimentary tour tickets by <a href="https://elmwoodstockfarm.com/contact-us/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">contacting the farm</a> directly.</li></ul>About Elmwood Stock Farm<a href="http://elmwoodstockfarm.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Elmwood Stock Farm</a>, in Georgetown, Ky., is a sixth-generation family farm that began as a producer of Black Angus breeding-stock cattle.
