Black HR professionals often find themselves in uncharted territory. We are tasked with creating new paths for employees through HR or Diversity & Inclusion, but how do we blaze a trail when we may not have the necessary tools? How do we manage the contradiction of creating safe spaces in our companies when we ourselves are not safe? Is there really an opportunity to make a change? We’re left wondering if this will always be our reality and rather than stick around to find out, we leave corporate America. SHRM CEO, Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. will provide us with his vision for navigating the path forward. If you want to participate in forging that path, but don’t know what part we as HR professionals play or how to position yourself, join NAAAHR-Los Angeles for a candid conversation.
