Following the high-profile extensive cataloguing of the Dowty archive at Gloucestershire Archives, the establishment of the Dowty Heritage community website and the publication of Sir George Dowty’s autobiography “In His Own Words”, Ally will provide an overview of the history of one of the most important names in the aviation industry from the 1920s to the present day, the Dowty Group itself, and also some of its most important subsidiary companies.
