What is the Welcome to the Watershed Series?

Our Welcome to the Watershed Series is held once monthly from October-June, usually on the 1st Saturday of the month. The location and activities change for each event, but hikes are often easy to moderate, and may feature specialists in  nature photography, native plants, birding, and more!

What is the 35th anniversary series?

In 2026, the Conservancy recognizes 35 years of conservation! We are celebrating this milestone year with special activities and events throughout communities of the Escondido Creek watershed. Help us continue preserving and restoring natural spaces of North San Diego County for the next generation!

Are pets allowed?

We love animals (trust us!) but, unfortunately, pets are not allowed at this event.

What ages are allowed?

Accepted Answer

All are welcome but please note that hikes are often on uneven, natural terrain. Hikers under 18 years must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Question 5

What should I wear to this event?

Accepted Answer

We recommend that you wear long-sleeves, long-pants, good hiking shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. Bring a water bottle and a light snack too!

Where do I park?

Accepted Answer

Parking varies with the location of the hike. Be sure to register on Eventbrite and stay tuned for important day-of information sent via Eventbrite prior to the day of the event.

Can I bring guests?

Accepted Answer

We love making new friends but most hikes are limited to 30 participants. All attendees must be registered for the event on Eventbrite.
