Palma Sola Cleanup and Seaside Safari

We have a passion to preserve and protect our environment in Manatee County, mixed with a compassion for the well-being of our community and its visitors.  From ecological testing of our estuaries’ water quality to organizing classes for visitors, the Natural Resources Department staff take to heart their responsibilities of ensuring we are all surrounded by a safe and beautiful environment that will enhance the quality of life for all in Manatee County.

Palma Sola Causeway Park

For this workday, we are going to work hard then play hard. First we will help make a positive impact on the coastal habitats by removing trash around the beach and the coastal trail. After the trash bash, grab a dip net and join our naturalists to get a peek at the world beneath the waves. You’ll get to see firsthand the critters your cleaning will help! Please wear close-toed shoes that can be worn in the water and bring gloves.
