Kentucky Shakespeare returns with the free Shakespeare in the Parks tour this spring. The 7-actor, 90-minute production of ROMEO AND JULIET is touring to multiple parks in Indiana and Kentucky this April and May. Audience members are required to adhere to current face mask mandates and are invited to bring their own chairs and blankets for this free, socially-distanced, family-friendly community event. Due to COVID-19 government health and safety restrictions, the following changes will be made for the 2021 Shakespeare in the Parks tour:ADMISSION: As always, all parks performances are free - but this year, please let us know you’re coming! Your contact information is required to attend this event per health regulations, so save time and please RSVP at the registration link, opening the day before the event. ENTRY: If you are feeling ill, have a temperature, or have been around someone with COVID-19 in the past two weeks, please do not attend. When you arrive, please read signage and follow instructions from our staff and our sponsoring organizations to observe social distancing. MASKS: All audience members are required to wear a mask or face covering. We understand that this isn’t possible when eating and drinking, but when moving throughout the park and watching the performance all guests are required to wear a mask. SANITIZING: A hand sanitizer station will be available.SEATING: You are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to place in one of the designated seating areas.KEEP YOUR DISTANCE: When moving throughout the park and performance area, please wear your mask and follow all social distancing signage and maintain a safe social distance of at least six feet apart from other guests.RAIN POLICY: In the past, we have had a designated indoor rain space for each performance, in the event of inclement weather. This year, due to COVID-19, this will not be possible. We will make our very best effort to complete the performance as scheduled. If this is not possible due to weather, we will work to re-schedule.
