Welcome to In Our Own Voices and Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York present: Ask-an-Attorney Series!

In Our Own Voices (IOOV) and the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York (LASNNY) are partnering to offer free, on-site, one-on-one legal consultations for survivors of violence. The consultation will specifically cover questions on family law, child support, custody, divorce, orders of protection, and domestic violence!

Consultation Details: For the month of April 2026, the free legal consultation will be 35 minutes long and scheduled between 9 AM and 5 PM, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Time slots are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, assigned based on best availability following the successful completion of the screening and intake process. Registration is Required. No Walk-Ins!

Intake Process: After you have registered, a representative will follow up within a week to complete the required intake process and ensure you are eligible to receive services. For safety reasons, this call may come from a blocked or unlisted number.

Consultation Requirements: Please bring any relevant legal documents or paperwork with you to your appointment.

PLEASE NOTE THAT COMPLETING THE INTAKE PROCESS PRIOR TO YOUR CONSULTATION IS MANDATORY, EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED THROUGH EVENTBRITE. WALK-INS WILL NOT BE ACCOMMODATED.
