The Technology, Law, & Security (TLS) Program is a new initiative at American University Washington College of Law that will tackle the challenges and opportunities posed by rapidly changing technology—offering innovative and practical approaches, influencing policy, and training the leaders of tomorrow.TLS will serve as a leading hub of research, innovation, and education on the challenges and opportunities posed by new technologies.  Leveraging its expertise, vision, and unique position in the nation’s capital, TLS will bring together leaders and stakeholders from across the public and private sectors to develop innovative solutions, shape outcomes, and empower the next generation of diverse leaders.

This TLS Speaker Series features <a href="https://www.wcl.american.edu/impact/initiatives-programs/techlaw/our-team/board/john-martinez/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">John Martinez</a> (Vice President and General Counsel Raytheon Intelligence &amp; Space).This is a closed-door, off the record event between TLS guest speaker and students. The event will not be recorded. Priority goes to students so please use your American University's email address. The zoom link will be emailed to registered attendees a few days prior to event date.Prior to his current role, Mr. Martinez was Raytheon’s Chief Cybersecurity and Privacy Counsel and also served as Senior Counsel for IIS’ Cybersecurity and Special Missions business. Mr. Martinez also served as Senior Counsel to a variety of IIS Mission Areas, such as Global Intelligence Systems, Mission Support and Modernization, and Navigation and Environmental Solutions.
