Celebrating 260 years of the Morris-Jumel Mansion!The Morris -Jumel Mansion is a historic house museum that seeks to preserve and interpret Manhattan’s oldest residence, one that has witnessed the evolution of northern Manhattan from rural countryside to a dynamic multicultural community. Through historic site tours and education programs, the museum interprets the Mansion in the context of domestic life in New York City,  the influx of European immigrants to Washington Heights, the City Beautiful movement at the turn of the century, the life of the Jumel Terrace Historic District, and more. Join us for a magical evening of Argentine tango with Latin Grammy Nominated artist Emiliano Messiez in one of New York City’s most historic and enchanting settings.The night begins with a tango class open to all levels, led by professional world champions tango dancers Mariana Parma &amp; Leonardo Sardella, who will guide you through the elegant steps and passionate rhythm of this iconic dance. After the class, enjoy a dazzling performance by the dancers, followed by a live concert featuring the Emiliano Messiez Tango Group.With rich, expressive music and the timeless allure of tango, this unique event promises to transport you straight to the heart of Buenos Aires.
