Let&#x27;s Go Birding Together!Join us at Tracy Aviary&#x27;s Jordan River Nature Center for a casual, guided bird walk along the Jordan River Parkway especially for LGBTQIA+ folks and our allies. This program is made for adults to connect with each other and the incredible birds who call the Jordan River home.No bird watching experience? No problem! Our educators are experienced bird nerds and will help you spot and identify birds along the trail. We&#x27;ll even have freshly-sanitized binoculars and bird guides for you to borrow.Why is this a Special Edition?Because we are celebrating Earth Day with a 3-day Party for the Planet and this is just one of several awesome activities being hosted at the Jordan River Nature Center AND at Tracy Aviary! This allows us to limit the size of programs to a number of people that allows easy physical distancing. If there is still space available, you may register up until the start time of the program, but you will be asked to do so on your own device. You do not need to present a ticket when attending; we will ask for your name and confirm that the number or tickets we have for your party matches the number of people attending with you.Please assess the health of everyone in your group before attending a program. If you or anyone else planning on attending has any of the following symptoms or risk factors, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending.<ul><li>Fever</li><li>Cough </li><li>New or increased shortness of breath </li><li>New decreased sense of smell or taste</li><li>Sore or scratchy throat </li><li>Muscle aches and pains </li><li>Having been in contact or near anyone known to be infected with COVID-19 in the past two weeks</li></ul>When entering and exiting the Jordan River Nature Center, please leave at least six feet of space between you and other participants.Bathroom doors will be propped open to allow participants to wash their hands after arrival. Hand sanitizer will also be provided during the program.Tracy Aviary staff will provide suggestions of how to maintain six feet between individuals and/or family groups, for example, by indicating appropriately spaced boulders/benches on which participants may sit.In accordance with Salt Lake County guidelines, masks are required during programs (except for children under the age of 2). This applies throughout the program, except when participants are remaining seated with at least six feet between households. Staff will wear face coverings under the same conditions.
