In this presentation, Aaron Smith, CEO of the Energy and Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA) and Board Treasurer of Team Zero discusses the latest Inventory of Zero Energy Residential Buildings produced by EEBA Team Zero. This landmark study documents six years of findings and observations from inventorying Zero Energy (ZE) residential design and construction activity in the US and Canada. These single and multifamily units are working to achieve Zero Energy performance in design, construction, and/or operation.Aaron Smith breaks down what Zero Energy homes are, how to find building professionals who specialize in sustainable construction and Zero Energy homes, and how to get on the Path to Zero.Preferred prerequisites: Attendees should have basic knowledge of sustainable construction projects and industry.EEBA and Team Zero strive to create connections between homeowners, builders, and architects with the goal of making Zero Energy homes accessible and affordable to a larger population around the world.
