Founded in 1920, the Preservation Society of Charleston (PSC) is the oldest grassroots preservation organization in the country.  The PSC serves as a strong advocacy leader for preserving Charleston’s distinctive character, quality of life, and diverse neighborhoods. We advocate alongside residents, elected officials, city staff, and project teams for preservation and planning that betters our city.The Preservation Society a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The William Pinckney Shingler house was built in the late 1850s and features a unique blend of Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, and Italianate details. Join the Preservation Society and leading historic preservation architect, Glenn Keyes, to examine this grand Charleston single house in the midst of a comprehensive exterior and interior rehabilitation.The tour will be followed by light refreshments and the opportunity for further discussion.Tickets are limited.Masks are required.Social-distancing protocols will be followed.
