PLEASE NOTE:THIS EVENT IS OFFERED TO SOUTHERN ILLINOIS RESIDENTS - ONLYThis workshop meets every Wednesday for 6 weeks from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm starting May 5, 2021 to June 16, 2021. Orientation will be on May 5, 2021 prior to the 6 sessions.Anyone living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes OR anyone who is a caregiver for someone with diabetes is welcome to attend. FREE 6-week Diabetes Self-Management WorkshopWhat you will Learn:Building a more effective relationship with your doctor • Solving problems • Exploring an exercise routine • Communicating with family and friends about your condition • Eating tips to help you feel better • Managing your medications • Setting and achieving goals • Dealing with pain, frustration, isolation, lack of energy(Participants must be able to complete at least four of the six scheduled classes, beginning with week one or two.
