The Poets Corner fosters community among writers and readers interested in poetry and short prose. Based in midcoast Maine, The Poets Corner serves this community with readings and other offerings of interest.Founded by Meg Weston and Kathrin Seitz in June of 2020.

The Poets Corner

This workshop will focus our attention on writing what is not so obvious to the naked eye in pictures of people, places, and (yes!!) things.

This is an in-person class that will be held at Millay House Rockland.The class will be led by Carol Willette Bachofner&nbsp;who served as Poet Laureate of Rockland, Maine from 2012 -2016.&nbsp;Bachofner’s poems have appeared in numerous journals, such as&nbsp;Prairie Schooner, The Connecticut Review, The Comstock Review, The Maine Review, The Mackinaw: a journal of prose poetry,&nbsp;and the following anthologies:&nbsp;Dawnland Voices, An Anthology of Writings from Indigenous New England (University of Nebraska Press, 2013),&nbsp;Enough!(Littoral Books 2020) and Wait (Littoral Books 2021).&nbsp;Every Place I Look, Women With Embers at Their Feet, her eighth book,&nbsp;is forthcoming in fall 2025 from Main Street Rag.
