Sandy Ridge Trails Work Day - Group B

Mountain biking requires riders to confront their fears, biases, and preconceived notions: we know what it feels like to be fearful, uncomfortable, and out of our element while on a ride. While we believe that everyone's barriers should be respected, we know that mutual support will help get us past those barriers. We must boost each other up and push ourselves to improve both on and off the bike. NWTA wants a world where everyone feels welcome, safe, and free in the outdoors. All volunteers and participants in NWTA events are held to ourCode of Conduct and Ethics.Some Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA) programs, events, and activities require registration fees. Refunds will be issued in full for registration fee refund requests received no less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the event start date and time. A partial refund of 50% will be issued for registration fee refund requests received after seven (7) days and up to twenty-four (24) hours before the start of the event. Join us on Saturday, April 10th at Sandy Ridge Trail System to get the trails in shape for more riding! We will be doing two groups of 10 and offsetting the start time to keep participants safe. Please register for an A or B time slot, group A which starts at 9:00 and group B starting at 9:30. Trail work will last approximately 4 hours wrapping up at 2:00 (A group) and 2:30 (B group)PLEASE SIGN WAIVER IN CONFIRMATION EMAILDue to COVID - 19, we are strictly limiting the number of volunteers. We NEED you to pre-register &amp; sign the online waiver before the event. Day of &amp; non-pre-registered volunteers will be turned away. We have mandatory guidelines for facial coverings and social distancing measures that need to be followed. This will be shared with your registration confirmation. Please understand that this is not only for your safety but for the safety of our entire community.What to wear:Face Covering as recommended by the <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CDC</a>- Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt, Long Pants (no shorts), Boots, Gloves (bring extra pairs to change into dry gloves), Eye Protection- Jacket (be prepared for rain and cold weather)- Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)What to Bring:- Water- Snacks- Favorite trail tool, McLeod or Rogue hoe- Optional: Folding hand sawPlease be on time or early. Arrive 15-20 minutes prior to start time. We work in all weather so come prepared for the elements whatever they may be (and change of clothes in the car for when we finish).Due to COVID-19 you are responsible for bringing all of your own food and beverages for the event. We have tools on site but if you are more comfortable with your own please feel free to bring your own.
