Melfort Youth Soccer Association is currently working on our Return to Play Plan and as part of that we are polling the community to determine the interest in all age groups to ensure we have enough interested to open our official registration. Details: With the current restrictions that are in place soccer would look different from what we have done in the past. Canada Soccer along with Sask Soccer have guidelines and currently we are back in &quot;Phase 1&quot; which is essentially individual training, socially distanced activities, technical based activities and also require everyone in attendance to where masks. For the U5, U7 &amp; U9 groups specifically a parent or guardian would have to participate with the player at all practices as we cannot ensure they would socially distance from each other as required. As we cannot guarantee things will improve we will reduce fees to a minimum to cover our basic costs only, no uniforms would be distributed this year and at this time we do not expect to have any games or tournaments to attend. If things improved we could revisit the games and tournaments and implement a fee as required to cover those costs. Soccer would take place on Monday and Wednesday nights for May and June, the hours are listed below and may be subject to change.With the increased demands that will be required to offer soccer under Covid regulations we will also require more support for coaching, attendance tracking, Covid screening and possibly other duties as required to offer these programs.If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to contact us at melfortyouthsoccer@gmail.com
