No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. Click here to join today.</a></p><h2>The Presence Process Practice Group - Journey Together Into Present Moment Awareness</h2><h3>Domains: Mapping Tools, Contemplative Practice</h3><p><em><strong>This unique “practice” course runs  for 12 weeks!</strong></em></p><p>A few words from the facilitator, Niki Pappas: </p><p>Taking myself through Michael Brown’s Presence Process two years ago changed me. It connected me with the me that I’ve been over time and across space over my lifetime, and continues to support me toward integrating my past experience so that it is comfortably and wondrously present and possesses less energy to disrupt each present moment. I’m more often able to be responsive, less likely to be reactive. It is a journey, and a liberating one. After completing the 10-week Presence Process in 2018 I took a break, and then began it again, as it is something one can repeat multiple times. </p><p>I shared some elements of The Presence Process in a Hive class I led late last year called The Zamboni Effect: Integrating Past Experience for Greater Present Moment Awareness. Now I’d like to travel this path again (though of course it will not be the same!), and I am seeking a handful of interested travel companions! That’s where this 12-week practice group comes in. </p><p>If this is intriguing to you, please check out Michael Brown’s book and register to join me. You will need your own copy of the book (I enjoyed listening to it on Audible and also have the paperback) and you will be required to read between sessions as well as meditate (with “consciously connected breathing”) and enlist particular mantras (“conscious responses”) throughout your days. Our time together will provide opportunities to share insights, challenges, and simply what is striking us about our process. Her endeavors have included certifications for holistic health coaching, yoga, Thai bodywork, and currently, the Enneagram. Niki has been involved with the Hive since May 2018 when she facilitated a course on the Second Half of Life. She has participated in many classes, facilitated several more, co-leads the Second Half Cohort, has started an Enneagram Cohort, and now serves on the Hive Lead Team. Leading with Enneagram Type 4, Niki is committed to her own inner work and honored to offer and receive presence and compassion in all of her relationships.
