Weight loss to bring down your cholesterol, blood pressure,  and trim away body fat. We will be talking about a weight loss diet that works.

Designing a Diet for Maximum Weight Control is the fourth class in the Diabetes Initiative Series.This class provides the knowledge, tools, and lifestyle strategies to help individuals reduce the risk of developing diabetes, and to manage and even reverse the disease. Classes are intended for those with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or a family history or risk factors for developing diabetes, and their adult family members and loved ones. This class will feature nutrition education and cooking demonstrations, and participants will leave with a selection of affordable and easy recipes they can prepare at home. All are welcome! Food demo includes making:<ul><li>Sweet-and-Sour Vegetable Stew</li><li>Quinoa</li><li>Taste of Asia Coleslaw</li></ul> Jane is a Plant-Based Nutrition Professional through the T. Colin Campbell, Center for Nutrition Studies, a Licensed Food for Life Instructor through PCRM, and a recent graduate of the Rouxbe Culinary School in Professional-Plant Based Cooking. Jane is on a mission to help individuals learn to incorporate practices that generate health and well-being through cooking, composting, and compassion.
