34th Annual SDJG Pier Jump II

The mission of the​ ​Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego​ is to save lives by funding swim lessons for underserved youth and providing aquatic safety education for all. ​Drowning is preventable and it is our vision to teach every child in San Diego how to swim​. With our local school, community and aquatic partners, we have impacted tens of thousands of young people in San Diego County and made their lives safer and more enjoyable.

We are thrilled to announce that on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, San Diego Junior Lifeguard~ Parents and the Public are invited to join the SDJG's Pier Jump at Scripps Pier hosted by the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego.This is a fundraiser and the ONLY TIME jumping from the Scripps Pier is allowed. Space is limited for each jump session (8:00am and 12:00pm).Proceeds from this event benefit the PDFSD efforts to provide SDJG scholarships and free swimming lessons for youth without access in San Diego. Your generous donation will help fund scholarships for future San Diego Junior Lifeguards. Proceeds not used for JG scholarships will fund swim lessons - every additional $50 will provide 10 lessons for one child.Important Jump Information:• $150 minimum donation with ticket purchase (each participant).• Limited tickets available.• Online ticket sales will close on July 28th at 5pm. Remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the event on July 29th.• T-Shirts will be available for purchase at the event only. Adult and youth sizes $25.How will it work? Purchase tickets online for the desired am/pm time below. Please DO NOT attempt to enter the pier gate for any reason. Please DO NOT park anywhere on the Scripps Institute of Oceanography campus. Please DO NOT enter the SIO campus to get closer to the pier. We are respectfully asking all parents/observers to watch their child from the shore or from the water (paddlers, please stay clear of the jump zone). Please stay clear of our lifeguard trucks that will be on site at the base of the pier to monitor the jump and safety operations. Do not stand in front of the trucks parked on the beach.Thank you again for your continued support!
