Spring Scavenger Hunt with the Pups

McKinley Dog Park Advisory Council was formed in 2014, committed to obtaining the first legal Dog Friendly Area on Chicago's Southwest side. The park's gates opened in early 2020, building a community of those interested in socializing and exercising their pets.MDPAC receives 501(c)3 nonprofit status through Chicago Parks Foundation, helping us to host events designed to expand and enrich our community.

Bring your pups for a scavenger hunt throughout the  ~70 acres of McKinley Park! RESCHEDULED TO 4/18

Mckinley Dog Park

Meet us at the McKinley Dog Park (corner of Pershing and Western)at 11 am, as the hunt begins promptly at 11:15 am. We'll send your team off with a list of things to search for and take a photo of. We highly encourage your dogs to join us, so extra points will be awarded per photo including them! During the scavenger hunt you may explore all the beautiful grounds of McKinley Park, which means walking shoes and a reusable bottle of water will come in handy. Make your way back to the Dog Friendly Area at 12:45 pm, where we will tally points and announce the winners!A couple of our small business and nonprofit friends will join us to vend refreshments and information on how to get involved, respectively. We've got you (and your pets) covered on the water!See ya soon. May the best team win!-------------------------------------------------Suggested donation is $10-15 but all donors and non-donors are welcome!-------------------------------------------------What to Bring:<ul><li>Comfortable shoes</li><li>Bottle of water</li><li>Charged phone or camera</li><li>Pen or pencil</li><li>Your family and dogs, of course!</li></ul>What You Should Know:<ul><li>Unfortunately the Field House will be closed, which means no indoor restrooms will be available</li><li>Dogs must be leashed anytime they are not in the Dog Frendly Area</li><li>Must adhere to applicable mask guidelines per Illinois Department of Public Health</li><li>Registration for event is required for each participant(maximum of 50 humans)</li><li>Maximum of 5 people per team--We encourage you to think of a creative team name!</li></ul>
