ESGR & 146th Airlift Wing Boss Lift

This Boss / Spouse Lift is an opportunity for your Employers or your partner/spouse to learn more about you and the critical role you fulfill in Homeland Security and National Defense.


Event Dates

This year's event will be hosted on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 8:00am to 4:30pm located at the 146th Airlift Wing, Channel Islands Air National Guard Station,106 Mulcahey Drive, Port Hueneme, CA 9304.


This unique opportunity includes a lunch reception, participating in a flight with our talented pilots and aircrew inside the mighty C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, and a tour of our citizen Airman's day-in-the-life training during a drill weekend. Your employer and your spouse will also learn more about your role as a citizen Airman and the great job you are doing to protect the homeland.

What information / actions do I need to do in order to participate?

After pre-registering, employers and spouses will need to be screened before departing on the flight. A brief questionnaire survey and evaluation will be made by one of our professionals to determine any existing conditions that would preclude either a spouse or employer.

How long will the flight be?

Approximately one hour.

What forms do I need to complete in order to participate in the flight portion of the event?

All participants in orientation flights who are not a DoD service member or DoD civilian will sign a hold harmless agreement prior to participating in the activity. Additionally, a entry access list will be coordinated to get you on base without an escort.
