Internationally acclaimed singer and actor, ANNA BERGMAN, recently moved to Alexandria from Manhattan and is delighted to be making her Classical Movements debut with her new concert celebrating Mother’s Day. Anna “thrills you with the sheer aural sensation of her voice” (THE WALL STREET JOURNAL) and has been hailed by THE WASHINGTON POST as “a vocal citizen of the world who has triumphed in everything from Broadway tunes to opera arias and the sultry innuendoes of the cabaret chanteuse.” ANNA BERGMAN performs internationally in concerts, cabaret, theatre, opera, music festivals, with symphony orchestras, on television and recordings. Highlights include: soloist at the White House and for HM Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, Lincoln Center’s American Songbook, Carnegie Hall’s centennial tribute to Ira Gershwin &amp; “Vienna City of Dreams Festival 2014,” Kennedy Center’s Sondheim Celebration in “A Little Night Music,” “The Light In The Piazza” in concert as Margaret with Matthew Morrison at The Intiman Theatre, Seattle and numerous music festivals including Aspen, Chicago Humanities and International Festival of Cardiff Wales. Anna has starred as soloist with numerous symphony orchestras and on BBC &amp; PBS television specials including Johnny Mercer’s Centennial and her own concert “A Salon with Anna Bergman” produced by Maryland Public Television.The daughter of an American diplomat, Anna is a cross-over artist who enjoys singing in multiple languages and in styles ranging from popular song and Broadway tunes to French chanson, German kabaret, Neopolitan songs, operetta and opera. Anna has garnered critical acclaim for her solo concerts and cabarets at such venues as The Kennedy Center, Strathmore Music Center, Arts Club of Washington, Corcoran Gallery of Art, British Embassy, Feinstein’s 54 Below and Loews Regency, The Kravis Center &amp; Colony Hotel’s Royal Room (Palm Beach), Cape May Stage’s Broadway Series, Guild Hall (East Hampton) &amp; Westhampton Performing Arts Center, Le Chat Noir (New Orleans), Manaus Opera House (Brazil), London’s Café Royal and in private salons for a Russian Oligarch in Moscow and the Prince of Saudi Arabia at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Theatre and opera credits include The Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre, Studio Theatre, Ford’s Theatre, Wolftrap &amp; N.
