A support group for highly sensitive people, including those diagnosed  borderline personality disorder.  Open to all except cis-gender men

Have you ever been called, &quot;sensitive?&quot; Do you have trouble regulating your emotions? Have you been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder? Then you might identify as having a &quot;highly sensitive personality&quot; or &quot;HSP.&quot; Highly sensitive personality is not a bad thing or a label in the DSM, but is an identity that more and more people are claiming. People with HSP typically struggle with loud, overwhelming sounds, crowds, and with intense emotions. Often they are diagnosed as having borderline personality disorder, but they might not. Support and skills can be helpful. This group is open to women, nonbinary, and transgender identifying folk, but not to cis gender men. However, there are restriction-less free peer support groups available on gmhcn.org, if needed.The time has been changed to 2-3:15p to accommodate people that work second shift. We&#x27;ll see if this new time works. The purpose is to counter mental health stigma with education, empowerment, support and skills. Each group will begin with a check-in, a skill or education time, and then peer support. The group is led by Corey Jones, a certified peer specialist who is in recovery herself from borderline personality disorder and who considers herself a highly sensitive person. Corey is a mental health artist, author, and support group leader.
