The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance's mission is to serve as a positive voice for mountain biking in Boulder County, Colorado by improving the trail experience for all users through social rides and events, advocacy, and trail building. <h2>COVID-19 INFORMATION: To keep our volunteers and participants safe, clinics will be limited to 7 participants. Social distancing (and face coverings when closer than 6 feet) will be required at all times.</h2>In this four-week novice-level class, you'll be paired with a <a href="https://icp.bike/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BICP</a> coach to cover MTB Foundation Skills and more advanced climbing &amp; descending and cornering techniques. The weekly format allows you to practice skills on your own between classes and be ready to build on those skills throughout the month!Tuesday Series Dates, 5:30 - 7:30 pm<ul><li>4/6</li><li>4/13</li><li>4/20</li><li>4/27</li></ul>You'll learn how to:<ul><li>Ride with balance and body-bike separation.</li><li>Brake properly.</li><li>Climb and descend on trails.</li><li>Shift to the correct gear.</li><li>Steer and corner.</li><li>Approach obstacles including perform basic front wheel lifts.</li><li>Roll down drops.</li></ul>Maximum 7 students. No matter how you ride your bike, you're about to ride it better!Clinics 1-3 meet on the east side of Valmont Bike Park near the pavilion next to the dog park. The 4th clinic meets at the Doudy Draw trailhead.Start Time: 5:30 pm (please be there at 5:15 pm to allow ample prep time)COSTWe love to ride and we know that you do too so we try to keep our expenses low and then pass that savings onto our members.
