The Independent Music Sector has introduced, developed and supported nearly every new musical form which has impacted our society since the beginning of the recording industry. In the present day – perhaps more than ever – the independents are vital to the continued advancement of cultural diversity and innovationin music.The American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) serves the Independent music community as a unified voice representing a broad coalition of music labels from a sector that comprises over 37.32% of the music industry’smarket share in the U.S. (40% of digital sales). A2IM is a Non-ProfitCorporation operated by and for the benefit of its Members promoting sector opportunity and improving the business conditionsfor its combined membership.

Jointly organized by A2IM (USA), ABMI (Brazil), A.S.I.Ar (Argentina), CIMA (Canada), IMICHILE (Chile), and WIN (global), participants can expect to engage peers from across the western hemisphere, meet business partners through one-on-one networking meetings, and gain deep insight into the various markets across the Americas.This full-day event will include panels, presentations, and one-on-one networking meetings. With the intention of creating a positive community and virtual social space for our members to collaborate, Pan-Am Indie Summit will be held on a new digital platform that offers additional opportunities for spontaneous interaction, such as an event lobby and breakout rooms.
