A RETURN TO FOUNDING PRINCIPLES

JOIN US in Indianapolis as we properly celebrate the profound effect that the Declaration of Independence continues to have on Hoosier lives. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 9, 2026, Hope Covenant Church, 8615 Spring Mill Road, Indianapolis.

Morning Speakers — Introduction by Craig Ladwig, director, The Indiana Policy Review Foundation; Gary Varvel, nationally syndicated cartoonist, on the topic, "Faith and the Founders”; Dede Petri, Regent of the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association and contributing author to "What Every College Student Should Know about American History."

Lunch Program — A box-lunch talk on the benefits of organizing Socratic seminars to restore civil discourse. Pete Eshelman, CEO of Joseph Decuis, Inc., and Mark Franke, former associate vice-chancellor of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Afternoon Panel — "Knowing our History” moderated by Andrea Neal, editor of “Indiana Mandate” and former editorial page editor of the Indianapolis Star. Panelists: Dr. T. Cole Jones, associate professor of history, Purdue University; State Rep. Andrew Ireland; Sarah Skwire, senior fellow, the Liberty Fund; Micah Clark, American Family Association of Indiana.

Book Signings/Mugs — Authors will be available to sign copies of their books. We will have plenty of "Founders” coffee mugs.
