Transforming inequality into opportunity: A panel discussion of black and women of color entrepreneurs.

<p>Facilitated by Nana Younge, Merrimack Community Engagement Fellow at North Shore CDC and Founder of Get Girls Going, Transforming Inequality into Opportunity is a panel discussion of black and women of color entrepreneurs who have started amazing businesses in different fields like beauty, haircare, health, education and more. The purpose of this conversation is to uncover the challenges and barriers black and women of color entrepreneurs face as a result of racial and gender discrimination. During this event, we will share our stories to create awareness and identify solutions that can make a difference!</p>

<p>Nana Younge brings over 10 years of nonprofit experience to her current role as a Community Engagement Fellow at North Shore CDC. Nana’s background in both entrepreneurship and education fuels her life&#x27;s work through the intersection of both interests.  Nana is the founder of Get Girls Going, a Boston based nonprofit organization that empowers black teen girls and younger girls of color to become the change-makers in their own communities through social entrepreneurship. Nana hopes to continue to create awareness about the equity gap that prevents black girls and black women from success and has plans to continue her work with Get Girls Going in order to bridge the gap. </p>
