The recording will be available for two weeks following each event.During this two hour educational event, Navasha Daya will gift us, through story and song, with a personal glimpse into the majesty of her mentoring young people as they navigate their way through adolescence into adulthood. She is a revered role model to many, a community leader of the highest order, a bridge builder working across race, class, and gender, and a mighty protector of African centered culture. Listen to her talk about her legacy as a leader and lover of all things cultural and creative.Through an interview process with Melissa Michaels, Navasha Daya will share specific stories and teachings on the following topics:* Navasha’s journey being mentored by powerful individuals as she grew up.* The power of growing up in a community of culturally centered activities and people.* Navasha’s unique ways of guiding and mentoring young people growing up in highly marginalized communities.* How to work with the many diverse stages and needs of youth.* Specific ways everybody can extend their love and leadership into the communities all around them.Song and pray will be woven throughout our time together.Bring your questions and your open hearts.Practical teachings and tools will be shared. Questions and dialogue included.We record our Golden Girls Global events in speaker view and offer limited access to the recordings with a two-week time stamp and a recording version that is not downloadable. By participating in our event, you agree to participating in these limited-access recordings. However, if you choose to keep your microphone off, neither your voice or image should be captured in the recording.
