Outdoor Promise is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a more inclusive and sustainable outdoor experience for all. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore, connect with, and protect the natural world, regardless of their background or circumstances. That’s why we’ve designed our programs to focus on equitable access for youth, families, and individuals who have been historically underrepresented in outdoor recreation.

-------seguido en español-------Outdoor Promise invites you to a special day on the Hudson River, just for Newburgh families! Join us for the Clearwater Sail and Tideline Program—a free and fun way to explore the river, learn about nature, and go sailing on a big boat called the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. You’ll help raise the sails, see incredible animals and plants, and learn where our clean water comes from with the Newburgh Clean Water Project and Riverkeeper. This is a great chance to try something new, meet new people, and enjoy a beautiful day on the river. Spots are limited, so sign up soon! Event's Schedule: 1:30 pm – Event begins at Ward Brothers Park · Welcome &amp; registration 1:30 – 3:00 pm – Shoreline environmental education activities in partnership with Clearwater. Local environmental organizations will host interactive, family-friendly stations (Riverkeeper, Quassaick Creek Watershed Alliance, Newburgh Clean Water Project). 3:00 – 5:30 pm – Clearwater sail experience on the Hudson River for Newburgh families This program is free, thanks to Clearwater and the Malcolm Gordon Charitable Fund, which aims to help Newburgh kids and families enjoy nature and learn more about the world around them. Let’s get outside, have fun, and take care of our river—together! ⸻ Español ⸻ Outdoor Promise te invita a un día especial en el río Hudson—¡solo para familias de Newburgh!
