A time of virtual gatherings to learn, share, discuss, and celebrate journeys with breast cancer.

Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual "Coffee Conversation" on select mornings that features a 30-minute interview with a survivor, co-survivor, or medical professional on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.November 12th's Coffee Conversation will feature Atul Kumar, Ph.D. Dr. Kumar, who recently earned his Ph.D. in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With over 11 years of combined experience in academic and industry settings, Dr. Kumar has contributed to cutting-edge research in cancer biology, early detection technologies, and translational development.His doctoral research explored the role of endothelial cells in breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, utilizing an innovative peptide-drug combination to assess its therapeutic potential. Dr. Kumar also brings expertise in medical writing, healthcare education, and scientific communication, and is deeply passionate about bridging research and clinical practice to support evidence-based decision-making.Now transitioning into a role in Medical Affairs, Dr. Kumar continues to be a strong advocate for community engagement through his volunteer work with the Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center.
