The Sound Room is aptly named. The focus is on the sound or the music. Unlike clubs where the performance may be peripheral to the experience, at the Sound Room the performance is the experience.  We are an all-ages listening room. We exist to present great music and promote jazz as an art form.The Sound Room is the home of Bay Area Jazz & Arts, a  501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on promoting the Arts.

The Sound Room

Talent recognizes talent! A star studded group playing with a new star!Camille appeared with jazz luminary Marcus Shelby at a recent show at the Sound Room and now she is back as the band leader with Marcus on bass!Camille Kerani is a 21-year old saxophonist, composer, and recording artist from the Bay Area. A versatile musician, she has performed with artists ranging from rapper Larry June to South African pianist Nduduzo Makhathini, and is currently on tour with Thee Sacred Souls as a part of their horn section. Camille is a senior at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is in the process of recording her debut album.This will be a show to be remembered!
