Please join us live for a 2-Day Virtual Lenten Mission with Fr. Phillip Ganir, S.J. as we honor this year of dedication to St. Joseph, Foster father of the Son of God and Head of the Holy Family. From a father's heart, we will encounter St. Joseph through scripture and prayer. All sessions will be live on Zoom with Fr. Phillip who resides in Washington D.C. Please join us individually from your own device, or participate communally by gathering at the church to view it on a large screen.The same session will be offered in both the morning and evening of the same day and all sessions will be LIVE.Session 1: Monday, March 8 at 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.Session 2: Wednesday, March 10 at 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.Jesuit Father Phillip Ganir was born in Seattle and raised on Oahu. He is a graduate of St. Elizabeth Elementary School in Aiea and Damien Memorial School in Honolulu. He joined the U.S. West Province of the Jesuits in 1999 after earning degrees in political science and Asian studies from the University of Hawaii-Manoa where he worked at the Newman Center. In addition to the spiritual, pastoral and academic training required of Jesuits, he completed music degrees at the Manhattan School of Music and the University of Notre Dame. He also worked as an associate pastor at St. Ignatius Parish in Sacramento, California. He is currently a doctoral candidate in catechetics at the Catholic University of America, where he taught undergraduate theology and is currently writing his dissertation on music and catechesis.If you choose to join us for this Lenten Mission at the church, we ask you to please review the following.For the protection of your health and the health of others, certain precautions are being taken:• All parishioners who are in the “at risk” or “vulnerable” categories should remain at home.• All parishioners who are sick or have a fever or cough, or are exhibiting symptoms such as shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell should remain at home.• Only a limited number of parishioners will be able to access the church at any one time. Total attendance will be limited according to civil and ecclesial guidelines.• To judiciously control the number of parishioners, we have implemented an online reservation system through Eventbrite. Those who do not have access to a computer or need assistance with this process are encouraged to please contact our parish office and one of our staff members will be able to help.• Please plan on arriving twenty minutes early so ushers can help escort you to your seats.• CDC Guidelines for social distancing — a minimum of six-feet of physical separation from all other persons not in your household or living unit — are always to be followed while on St. John Vianney grounds.• Hand sanitizer will be available. Please continue to practice good hygiene, including washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, prior to and after coming to church.• All parishioners shall wear a cloth face covering as described and recommended by the CDC, which covers both your mouth and nose, while on St. John Vianney grounds.Let us be safe and prudent as we renew our sacramental life in Christ!
