You&#x27;re invited to the launch of Rubiks&#x27; new music video for &#x27;Waiting&#x27;. Join Rubiks and 2018 Pythia Prize winner Christine McCombe for a behind-the-scenes chat with the composer and a glass of wine with some excellent company. 🥂This is a free event but bookings are essential. -- &#x27;Waiting (for the pause)&#x27; --&quot;Every day we are bombarded with noise: in our environment and in our own heads, both literal and metaphorical. ‘Waiting’ is a piece about noise, the importance of quiet voices and their right to be heard. As with much of my work, this piece is an invitation to the audience to reflect on their own experience - of noise, of being ‘unheard’ and of waiting.&quot; - Christine McCombe-- The Pythia Prize --The Pythia Prize is an annual commission project that provides support for an Australian composer who identifies as a woman or gender diverse person to collaborate with Rubiks. The prize includes an honorarium, extensive workshops with the Rubiks players, performances and a recording of the composer&#x27;s new piece.
