Join us for a panel discussion with Fort Nisqually and Tribal historians to discuss the legacy of the Puget Sound Treaty War

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUTThe Puget Sound Treaty War (1855-1866) was the result of contested terms of the Medicine Creek Treaty, negotiated by Governor Isaac Stevens. The treaty, the first of several consecutive treaties negotiated by Stevens in quick succession, sought the relocation of local tribes to reservations in exchange for cash payments and the preservation of hunting and fishing rights.
