Panel discussion will discuss the current state of life as a working black artist in America and highlight the Black experience.

In honor of Black History Month and Black Excellence, long standing Beyond Walls interns Carlos Prudencio and Damianny Garrido will host a virtual panel event. The panel discussion will discuss the current state of life as a working black artist in America and highlight the Black experience within different artistic careers. Black panelists with wide ranging and very different artistic careers are made up of the panel guests. The panelist are Sheila Pree Bright, Cedric &#x27;Vise1&#x27; Douglas, Jay&#x27;Nyah Spencer and Chiara Tazoa.Sheila Pree Bright: A national and international acclaimed Black American photographer. Ms. Bright says her goal is to capture the &quot;life of those individuals and communities that are often unseen in the world. My objective is to capture images that allow us to experience those who are unheard as they contemplate or voice their reaction to ideas and issues that are shaping their world.&quot; Jah&#x27;Nyah Spencer: A Lynn-based youth who is a senior at Lynn Vocational High School. She is a visual artist and aspiring business woman. She hopes to use her art to reach people. Cedric &quot;Vise1&quot; Douglas: Cedric Douglas or professionally known as &quot;Vise1&quot; is a Boston native he is an artist and designer.&quot;My work is inspired by every day life idioms and the subculture of guerilla, or street art.&quot; He is the Founder and Creative Director of The Up Truck, a mobile art lab designed to engage under-served Boston communities through art and creativity. Chiara Tozoa: A senior at Lynn English High, she is an aspiring Makeup Artist. She shares her love for makeup by working for her classmates for events like prom, homecoming, Valentine&#x27;s Day and Senior pictures.

This event centers youth ages 13-26 so we kindly ask that only students sign up and with their school email addresses.
