When life hands you dirt... PLANT! Life is tough enough without having to battle cancer. Join us in giving back this Eat Local Week to support local farm <a href="http://aloeorg.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Aloe Organics</a> by purchasing a &quot;box&quot; of produce to donate to families with children battling cancer.Aloe Organics grows organic vegetables in loving memory of Allison ‘Aloe’ Hall Nelson who in 2012, at 30 years old, lost her battle with breast cancer. She dreamed of starting a certified organic farm, her family made it a reality. Nestled on 6 acres of family farmland in Arcadia you&#x27;ll find a veggie-lover&#x27;s paradise. Allison&#x27;s doctors encouraged her to eat organic to assist her body in the battle for her life. Her legacy lives on as a portion of the produce grown on the farm is donated to families of children with cancer. Through the <a href="https://childrenscancercenter.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Children&#x27;s Cancer Center</a> of Tampa, Aloe Organics supports families and delivers a portion of their healthy, nutrient-rich crops to the community.The Children’s Cancer Center helps children and their families by providing the educational, financial, and emotional relief necessary to cope with the illnesses which threaten to tear their lives apart.We are proud to share and help Aloe Organics in their work, be sure to catch them at the Boca Grande Farmer&#x27;s Market to take home fantastic produce for your family too, further supporting Aloe&#x27;s dream to give strength to families with children battling cancer.&quot;Box&quot; Cost: $30 supports Aloe Organics to grow and donate of a load of vegetables to the Children&#x27;s Cancer Center of Tampa.$5 from the purchase of each box will be donated to Transition Sarasota, supporting their mission developing community-driven solutions for our local food system.
