Creativity and Education hosts programs for educators, parents, and individuals who are interested in weaving creativity into education and raising a generation of creative thinkers. Our webinars invite participants to apply creative thinking to the challenges of education, parenting, and everyday challenges.  We offer resources, training, and host guests who bring new thinking around these challenges.

<h1>Beautiful Oops! For Adults</h1><p>Is the fear of failure holding you back from trying something new? What if you could reframe your missed-takes into an opportunity? What might that shift in perspective add to your life?</p><p>Our session will reconnect with your ability to play, get comfortable with the idea of taking risks, and find the opportunity that is hidden within your oops! In this interactive workshop, we will share the story of Beautiful Oops! and why we think it is an important message for adults and children alike.</p><p>We will share tools and strategies for turning your Oops! into opportunities and help you to bring this message back to your homes, classrooms, and workplaces. </p><p>Supplies you will need for this workshop:</p><ul><li>Kleenex</li><li>Colored pens and other art-making supplies</li><li>Plain paper</li><li>Color paper (optional)</li></ul><p>*Active participants will receive a pdf certificate of completion from Creativity and Education.</p><p></p><h2>Your Presenters</h2><h3>Barney Saltzberg</h3><p>With close to fifty picture books published, Barney Saltzberg has been traveling the world talking about creativity and where ideas come from. He lectured in China and Russia through a cultural exchange program through the United States State Department.</p><p>Barney is passionate about working with children, parents, teachers, organizations on the art of making mistakes and finding play and creativity in our everyday lives.</p><p>His books have won numerous awards, including NAPPA Gold Awards, Publishers Weekly, and Kirkus Starred Reviews. Most recently Melinda Gates chose Beautiful Oops as one of the top three books every child should read.</p><h3>Ismet Mamnoon</h3><p>As a “Parentologist” who has been writing about parenting for almost 40 years. Her desire to find a creative solution to her own parenting challenges led her to a Master of Science degree in Creativity and Change Leadership from the International Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY Buffalo State. You can hear her speak about her journey as a parent on TEDx.com where she is featured as a speaker, and you can read about her creative approaches to parenting in TIME magazine Special Edition on the Science of Creativity. </p><p>As the founder of Beyonder, Ismet has a vision for using creativity as the means of unlocking the human potential of the next generation. She does this through her work with youth, parents, and educators by applying creative approaches to mentoring, parenting, and educating the next generation. In addition to her commitment to Beyonders everywhere, Ismet works as a facilitator and trainer within the corporate arena and with social and economic development organizations. </p><p>Ismet has authored several books, online courses, a parenting tool kit and has created card decks that support the work of creativity consultants around the world.  She received the President’s Medal for Outstanding Graduate Student at Buffalo State and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for her work in creativity. </p><p></p><p></p>
