The Art & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier cultural destination and community gathering place in Central Florida, about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando. A&H is a group of sophisticated attractions that includes a contemporary art museum, 3 interactive history museums, and a stunning campus recognized as Central Florida's only National Historic Landmark. A&H also features a community art school nestled among its beautiful gardens and unique architecture.Founded in 1937 as an artists’ retreat, our space still fulfills this mission today with multiple artist residencies serving both local and international artists. Free Family Days at A&H

Families are invited to four free seasonal family days a year. Each day has a themed family art workshop, craft stations, face painting, scavenger hunt and free admission to our museums!  Grandparents are welcome too!

Whether you’re looking to meet new people, impress someone special with a sophisticated date night, or just a way to relax with friends—A&H has you covered! Check out this selection of upcoming events.

Spring is beginning to bloom all around our campus! Families are invited to celebrate the first signs of a new season at our Early Spring Family Day + Family Art Workshop, where children will hand-build their own clay pinch pots, and then embellish them with wonderful tiny treasures from our garden, like pressed flowers and leaves, mini stones and even bitty sea shells! Our pinch pots are inspired by A &amp; H’s founding artist, J. André Smith, who was a sculpture artist, and they’ll be ready to take home after the workshop!We'll also have an "I Spy Spring" themed scavenger hunt, spring craft stations (great for littles too!) plus drawing and coloring tables! There will be more surprises too, like face painting and free admission to three museums! Our family art workshop is recommended for children ages 4 and over, and under 4 with parental help!Space and art supplies are limited (one pinch pot and other craft station projects per child, while supplies last), so sign up today!Admission to this event is FREE!
