The Art & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier cultural destination and community gathering place in Central Florida, about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando. A&H is a group of sophisticated attractions that includes a contemporary art museum, 3 interactive history museums, and a stunning campus recognized as Central Florida's only National Historic Landmark. A&H also features a community art school nestled among its beautiful gardens and unique architecture.Founded in 1937 as an artists’ retreat, our space still fulfills this mission today with multiple artist residencies serving both local and international artists. Celebrate Valentine's Day at this special Homeschool Day at A&amp;H: - Historic Architecture Tour &amp; Outdoor Sketching Art WorkshopFamilies are invited to wear red or pink as you step into the fantastical world of artist and architect Jules Andre' Smith at the Art &amp; History Museums in Maitland. Hear stories of friendship and become inspired on a mini tour of our campus built nearly100 years ago as an artist colony!After the tour we will have a hands-on sketching art workshop in our main garden! We'll end our time together with a special Valentine's Day craft and a photo scavenger hunt!The cost is $10 per child and includes all the art supplies and $5 per chaperone. Afterwards, you’re invited to extend your outing with a picnic lunch right next door at Quinn Strong Park.Space is limited for students (suggested K - 5, middle school welcome too) and their chaperones. Please note, that this is not a drop off program. Parents will need to stay with their child(ren) throughout the homeschool day, and due to the small capacity of the program, refunds are not available.If you have any questions about our Homeschool Day, please feel free to contact our education team at education@artandhistory.org.
