Enjoy a special outdoor bilingual children’s story time! In partnership with Watchung Booksellers, the Montclair Campus of L'Alliance - New York presents a special reading of Martine sur la Côte d’Azur (Martine on the French Riviera) with author Rosalind Elland-Goldsmith.About the book: First published in 1954, the Martine series is a beloved French classic. Written by Gilbert Delahaye and illustrated by Marcel Marlier, the books follow the everyday adventures of Martine, a curious and kind-hearted girl. With over 100 million copies sold, the series has been treasured by generations of French families and is often considered a childhood classic, much like Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans in the U.S.About the event:The story will be read in both French and English! Bring a blanket, settle in, and enjoy this charming bilingual literary moment with your little ones!Books will be available for purchase in both French and English, and Rosalind Elland-Goldsmith will be signing copies after the reading.Pre-orders are encouraged to make sure you have a copy to take home.
