The Art & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier cultural destination and community gathering place in Central Florida, about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando. A&H is a group of sophisticated attractions that includes a contemporary art museum, 3 interactive history museums, and a stunning campus recognized as Central Florida's only National Historic Landmark. A&H also features a community art school nestled among its beautiful gardens and unique architecture.Founded in 1937 as an artists’ retreat, our space still fulfills this mission today with multiple artist residencies serving both local and international artists. A&H provides the Central Florida community with many  activities every month, including free family programming, affordable site tours, and free presentations on art and history from visiting experts. Join the Art &amp; History Museums of Maitland and the Maitland Public Library for a very special Homeschool Day for students in grades K–8!Our learning adventure begins at the Maitland Public Library with a guided tour led by Ms. Christina Burgos, Youth Services Librarian. Discover how to navigate the library catalog and use its many resources to support your homeschool journey. Then, test your new skills with a fun activity designed to help you explore and engage with the library in a hands-on way!After a short break at Quinn Strong Park, families will resume their adventure with the Education Team at the Art &amp; History Museums of Maitland. Be inspired by a mini walking tour of our historic campus—built nearly 100 years ago as an artist colony—followed by an art workshop in our main garden!Schedule:<ul><li>1–2 PM — Tour &amp; activity at Maitland Public Library (meet in courtyard) -</li><li>2–2:30 PM — Break at Quinn Strong Park (bring a snack or picnic!)</li><li>2:30–4 PM — Tour &amp; art workshop at A&amp;H (meet in front of the Germaine Marvel Building)</li></ul>The cost for the library portion of the prgram is at no cost, and for the museum, $10 per child (includes all art supplies) / $5 per chaperone. This is not a drop-off program—a parent or guardian must stay with participating children. Due to the small capacity of the program, refunds are not available.Questions?
