The 18th Annual Patient Safety Summit is designed to educate Healthcare providers including bedside care givers, quality directors, regulatory and risk management staff, and many other healthcare workers on current trends and best practices in Patient Safety and Regulatory Compliance. LEARNING OBJECTIVESAt the Summit’s conclusion, participants should be able to:1. Differentiate communication skills w/ different generations to improve teamwork &amp; patient care. 2. Restate the changes to the conditions of participation for CMS that took effect July 2025. 3. Interpret the new legislation in Texas and how it will affect patient care and staffing. 4. Discuss Texas legislative and CMS updates. 5. Explain the 4 S model and paraphrase its use in healthcare. 6. Implement strategies to champion a culture of psychological safety to build a fearless team. (Agenda and speakers are subject to change. Please check back for current updates.)

(In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and DFW Hospital Council Foundation. The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.)

Agenda

Objectives: 1)   Learn how to drive high performance team engagement by applying compassion while upholding the highest productivity standards.  2)  Learn how to delegate and empower comprehensively 3)  Learn how to build a fearless team by championing a culture of psychological safety, including an easy to implement exercise that you can try at your next team meeting.

Objectives: 1) Identify and analyze key barriers that hinder effective intergenerational collaboration at both organizational and individual levels 2) Learn to conduct an "assumption audit" that challenges common stereotypes and reframes generational differences as a valuable asset 3) Develop practical strategies for replacing generational judgment with genuine curiosity and openness to different perspectives 4) Create a roadmap for building an organizational culture that actively promotes and celebrates intergenerational learning and collaboration 5) Master the art of meaningful intergenerational dialogue through strategic "power questions" that foster understanding and connection Method for presentation (check all that apply)
