Transforming Power Is In You, An AVP Basic Workshop

Omaha AVP offers a variety of community workshops bringing members of the community together in conversation and activity.  Workshops vary from 2 - 3 hours to 3 days.Omaha AVP is a  volunteer-led non-profit.  Workshops are free and donations are gratefully acceptedto offsets supply and refreshment costs.

For anyone interested in personal growth, expanding on AVP mini-workshop lessons, or wanting to learn more about alternatives to violence

First Unitarian Church

An AVP Basic workshop is an introduction into how Transforming Power (TP), the power to find constructive solutions, lives in ourselves and others. Using a series of<ul><li>group exercises</li><li>personal reflections and</li><li>light-hearted fun</li></ul>we build community, understanding and learn together. 3 Saturdays from 9am - 4pm. Please attend all 3 days. Each one builds on the previous one(s).<ul><li>August 16 - Build Community, Foster Communication &amp; Introduce Transforming Power</li><li>August 23 - Expand TP, Explore listening &amp; decision making</li><li>August 30 - TP through cooperation, consensus &amp; resolution</li></ul>All sessions meet at the First Unitarian Church of Omaha, 3114 Harney. We begin at 9am. To respect everyone's time, we appreciate participants arriving 10 minutes earlier to check in and get settled before 9am. Meals, snacks are provided. A $30 donation to cover costs is greatly appreciated. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Questions: omahaavp@gmail.com or 402.915.1423
