Weekly class to learn the ins and outs of HAM radios in preparation for practical exam to become legally licensed in HAM radio operation.

Have you ever wanted to get your HAM radio license? This is your chance to learn the ins and outs of HAM radio operations and to get legally licensed to operate a radio. That means you get your own call sign at the completion of the course. Who does not want their own call sign? Every Tuesday March 2nd - April 13th 7:00 - 9:30 PM on-line, with two Saturday in-person Practicals (in-person dates TBD: 12:00 - 2:00). Total 24 hours of class time.The syllabus will be based on the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual 4th Edition available through the American Radio Relay League at http://www.arrl.org/shop/Ham-Radio-License-Manual/.Also available through Amazon and other on-line book sellers. IMPORTANT: Make sure you are getting the 4th Edition (for use July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022) - and that it is checked &quot;Level 1 Technician&quot; on the bottom left of the front cover. The exam changes every four years and previous editions of the manual will not have all the correct material.*This course will be given over Zoom***This is not a one week course. This is a seven week course in preparation for a practical exam at the completion of the class. $25 is the cost of the full course. The practical exam will occur on two Saturdays near the completion of the course and include a separate fee.**
