This event brings together education, community resources, and creative culture in one place. Students can explore their goals, build confidence, and connect with people who want to see them succeed.
Everyone is welcome. HeroCon is open to fans of all media, including comics, sports, gaming, anime, movies, trading cards, and more.
The event is free and open to the public.

- Merch Vendors: Buy and sell cool gear from local creators.
- Community Resources: Tons of local resources available throughout the day.
Cosplay Dress Code
To keep the event safe and family-friendly:
- Costumes must be appropriate for participants of all ages
- No real weapons
- No props that resemble real firearms or realistic weapons
- Large fantasy props are allowed if they cannot be mistaken for real weapons
Examples:
- Acceptable: Cloud’s Buster Sword and Halo’s Energy Sword
- Not allowed: Halo’s MA5B Assault Rifle or the Lancer from Gears of War
For Vendors and Community Partners
We welcome vendors, colleges, nonprofits, and community organizations.
A $200 donation includes:
- A vendor table or resource table
- Exposure to 300+ participants
- Direct access to Tarrant County students, potential students, parents, and community members
- Support for expanding Bettered, Not Broken programs
This event also serves as a fundraiser to bring more Bettered, Not Broken services to life.

For those seeking competition, a gaming tournament with a cash prize is available for a small donation.
