Teetotal Initiative is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 non-profit focused on individuals committed to a sober lifestyle.Teetotal Initiative’s inclusive and sober-focused high-quality programming addresses some of the most common causes of relapse - isolation, boredom, and loneliness. Our mission is to help individuals to sustain sobriety. Our goal is to enhance quality of life and support relapse prevention through free events, activities, and high-quality programming.​As the first-of-its-kind recreational sober community, Teetotal Initiative inspires a stigma-free and celebratory social atmosphere, promoting meaningful sobriety and community opportunities for all, regardless of their journey to recovery. We welcome all forms of recovery and are not aligned to any specific program. Teetotal Initiative does not provide support groups or professional medical services. Instead, we care for the “rest of life” that happens outside of formal treatment and group support and are a complement to anyone’s recovery toolbox.

A Creative Fresh Start, Revive and Renew Day RetreatOn Saturday, June 14, 2025, Teetotal Initiative will offer a Creative Wellness Retreat, our first joint event for the Fresh Start and Creative Kaleidoscope series!Join us from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for this immersive half-day experience at the Spartan Community Center in Hazelwood which will offer a nurturing space for people to reconnect with themselves through movement, mindfulness, and creative expression.The event will alternate between grounding somatic practices:· guided meditation by Kim Earley (@thehapahealer)· yoga with Corina Berkoben (@heartsandhaloshealing)· breathwork guided by Larissa Emanuele (@sainteshaven)and hands-on nature-based crafting sessions to support holistic wellness, led by Ashley Baptiste (@workplayzen):· We will create our own signature herbal tea infusion while exploring the healing properties of herbs, and craft a custom aromatherapy room or body spray, choosing from essential oil blends that promote calm, energy, or emotional balance.Whether you’re seeking clarity, stress relief, or a creative reset, this retreat offers a meaningful pause to reflect, move, and make—within a supportive, substance-free community. Wear comfortable clothes and bring your journal and a yoga mat (a limited number of mats will be available). All other supplies will be provided! Please let us know if you have other dietary considerations.Instructor Bios:Kim Earley is a meditation coach, Reiki practitioner, and the Director of Holistic Programming for Teetotal Initiative. She has a passion for guiding others into deeper connection with themselves. With years of experience in energy healing and mindfulness, she creates grounded, heart- centered spaces for transformation and inner peace. She will be leading the meditation for this day retreat and holistic event, supporting participants in setting powerful intentions and aligning mind, body, and spirit.Larissa Emanuele is a trauma-sensitive certified healer, coach, and founder of Sainte’s Haven, where she curates powerful, heart-led healing experiences rooted in years of intuitive, body- based work. Blending multi-modality transformative breathwork with deep emotional alchemy, she creates sacred spaces that help you release what no longer serves, reconnect to your inner compass, and step fully into your power. Her approach is both soulful and playful--inviting you home to your most authentic, empowered self.Corina Berkoben is an Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master, Animal Reiki Practitioner, Yoga Instructor, Equestrian Specialist, Meditation Coach, and Intuitive Medium. Corina's mission is to help as many people as she can enjoy the wonderful benefits and healing properties of Reiki, yoga, and connecting their own spiritual team and tools! Her enthusiasm for life is contagious and her goal is to make these services fun and accessible for everyone.Ashley Baptiste is a Swissvalian hailing from Large, PA, with over a decade of experience in Human Resources and Project Management. Known as the Harmony Architect and neighborhood peacemaker, she is the founder of Work Play Zen, a Pittsburgh-based collective supporting individuals through life transitions. Ashley creates immersive experiences that blend yoga, meditation, astrology, DISC psychology, and hands-on self-care to help people restore balance and navigate life with greater clarity.
