“From Field to Fork” is a fundraiser for House Farm Workers!
Join House Farm Workers! celebrating our 20th anniversary with a 3-course meal at the famous Walnut Grove in Moorpark on July 18th.
The event brings together farmers who produce Ventura County’s agricultural bounty, chefs who celebrate that bounty on their menus, and the farm workers whose labor makes it all possible.
Founded in 2004, House Farm Workers! promotes affordable, safe, and stable housing for Ventura County farm workers and their families through education and advocacy.
Our work is not always visible, but it is critical. We do not build farm worker housing; we make it possible for others to do so by building a conducive political and regulatory environment. This means alerting the general public and our elected representatives about the need for affordable, safe, and stable farm worker housing.
What we do:
Testify in support of farm worker housing projects and policies that encourage them.
Inform the community and county leaders about the need for farm worker housing.
Educate future leaders and create advocates through our Farm Worker Immersion Program.
Award college scholarships annually to children of farm workers.
Check out our website for more information: www.housefarmworkers.org.
If you have any questions, need to make any reservation changes, or would like to sponsor, please contact us at events@housefarmworkers.org.
(Please note that this is not the Totally Local VC Farm-to-Fork Dinner that is being held in Ventura the same evening.)
For the health and safety of our attendees, we will be following the latest county, state, and federal COVID guidelines.
