What is the nearest Metro station?

The Blue Line runs to Arlington National Cemetery Metro Station, which is approximately 1-2 blocks from the Memorial. The last train during summer hours is approximately 9:45PM. For more information - https://www.wmata.com/rider-guide/stations/arlington-cemetery.cfm

Do I need to bring an ID?

Accepted Answer

Yes, please bring a government-issued ID or a non-U.S. passport. Arlington National Cemetery requires drivers of vehicles to present a REAL ID.

Beverages/Alcohol and Food

Accepted Answer

Due to the Memorial's location at the entrance to America's most hallowed grounds & per Arlington National Cemetery regulation, all food & drink must remain inside the Memorial. They are not permitted on the terrace, plaza, or other outdoor spaces. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Prohibited Items

Accepted Answer

Per Arlington National Cemetery, the following are prohibited: alcohol, narcotics, flags larger than 8.5” x 11”, explosives, fireworks, sparklers, paint, firearms, tasers, stun guns, mace, pepper spray, knives, & tripods. Individuals w/ any item will not be permitted entry & no refund will be given.
