Who is this space for?

Holding Space is a live virtual experience centering the needs, voices, and lived experiences of Black women and all their intersections. While all are welcome to join, the space is designed with us in mind. We kindly request that all attendees respect this intention.

Question 2

I'm having trouble registering. Why is that?

Accepted Answer

Eventbrite has issues with some apps, including its own, at times. I recommend using browsers like Chrome or Safari to get tickets if the app doesn't allow you to register for the event.

Question 3

Do I need to attend for the whole time?

Accepted Answer

You're encouraged to stay for the full 90 minutes, but we understand that life sometimes gets in the way. Join when you can. To honor the group, we’ll proceed with the session regardless of when individuals arrive or leave. Come as you are, for as long as you’re able.

Question 4

Is this therapy?

Accepted Answer

No, this is not a therapy group and does not replace mental health treatment. Holding Space is a community care offering that provides therapeutic, affirming tools in a group setting rooted in reflection, rest, and connection.

Question 5

What if I can’t afford to donate right now?

Accepted Answer

We offer donation-based registration with a free option, as we believe that healing spaces should be accessible. Eventbrite requests a minimum donation of $1 with the donation option. You’re welcome to attend regardless of your ability to pay—just let me know, and I’ll be happy to assist.

How do I join the event?

Accepted Answer

After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link. Please check your spam or promotions folder if it doesn’t show up right away. Also, please note that some apps are not compatible with Eventbrite. Please copy and paste the URL for tickets into a browser.

Question 7

Will there be time to talk or share?

Accepted Answer

Sharing is always optional. There will be moments for reflection and connection, but you're never required to speak. You can simply show up, listen, and be.

Question 8

What should I bring?

Bring a journal or notebook, a pen, and anything that helps you feel grounded (tea, candles, a soft blanket). You'll also receive a digital workbook with prompts and activities we’ll reference.

Question 9

Will the session be recorded?

Accepted Answer

No. To maintain the integrity, safety, and emotional depth of the space, this event will not be recorded. We want everyone to feel free to share and reflect in real-time, without concern for replays.
