Bring a gently loved book to swap out with another book at The Reading Reef.The Reading Reef is located on Level 1 near LUSH This month, join local author Lisa Chong for a reading of her book "Frida’s Wish for Wings"Lisa Chong, M.D. is a physician, author, and founder of a non profit organization called The Frida Project. She was inspired by Frida- a paralyzed street dog who learned to walk again using prosthetic braces. She shares Frida's story amongst hospitals and schools to inspire others to believe in their dreams, to celebrate diversity and differences, and to highlight the importance of adopting differently abled and senior animals. Frida's Wish For Wings is about a paralyzed dog who wants to run and play like the other dogs and believes that wings will help her to do just that. Join Frida on her adventure as she finds her wings in the most unlikely of places and makes unique friendships along the way. **After Reading Reef Event, take a stroll around Pacific City to enjoy any of the food locations and retails stores.WHY RSVP?To ensure we have enough craft supplies for everyone and receive 2-hour complimentary parking validation (while supplies last)Must register before 8:00 PM the evening before.
